Coretta has classroom, curriculum, budget, and leadership experience. She will be able share her day to day classroom experiences with members of the State Board of Education who may not have a background in education. Coretta is a respected leader in SBOE 4. Vote Dr. Coretta Mallet-Fontenot for SBOE 4.
Dr. Coretta believes that our kids should be taught the truth about our history and respect fact-based science. She recognizes that our kids need multiple paths to a high school diploma. Dr. Coretta understands that standardized tests, like the STAAR, do not accurately measure intelligence.
Dr. Mallet-Fontenot has been part of this community for many years, working tirelessly as a precinct chair in Senate District 13, CD 9, and CD 18 to make it a better place. She believes in fully-funded PreK, pay raises for school employees, and that our curriculum should be based on science and facts.
Dr. Coretta knows the value of a great public education system. That's why she has been a tireless advocate of traditional neighborhood schools. She understands that we cannot allow noneducators to make important decisions that govern the direction of our school communities. Make sure your family is registered to vote and monitor your registration regularly.
The State Board of Education plays a pivotal role in the education of students in public schools across Texas. Our schools have been hit hard by extremist views and those who would erase the history of African Americans and other marginalized groups. Make a plan to vote so we can push back on these destructive views in our education system. Please vote for Dr. Coretta Mallet-Fontenot to be the next member representing SBOE 4.
